Hi, I'm Gulshan kumar! Like many of you, I'm a tech professional navigating the digital world. But unlike most, my escape isn't a vacation — it's my backyard. The mighty Dhauladhars, the whispering pines, the untamed Uhl River — this is where I recharge.
Growing up in a traditional Pahari family, I learned early that the real treasure of these mountains isn't just the views — it's the warmth of the people, the simplicity of life, and the stories whispered by the wind. After years of travelers asking me to show them the "real Grahan," I decided to create Grahan Ghati.
Now, I split my time between writing code and guiding adventures. By day, I'm a developer. But when the sun dips behind the peaks, I'm just Gulshan kumar — your host, your guide, and your new Pahari friend, sharing stories around a bonfire under a billion stars.
From a Dream
to a Destination
Grahan Ghati wasn't born in a boardroom — it was born around a campfire. In 2015, after hosting a group of travelers from Bangalore who had stumbled upon our village, I realized that Grahan's true magic wasn't reaching the world.
The big travel companies were showing tourists the same crowded spots, but they were missing the heart of Grahan — the hidden waterfalls only locals know, the meadows where shepherds have grazed their cattle for centuries, the secret caves where we played as children.
So I decided to bridge that gap. Grahan Ghati is my love letter to my homeland — a way to share the authentic, untouched, soul-stirring beauty of these mountains with people who seek more than just a Instagram photo.

Not really! We're a community initiative led by Gulshan kumar and his family. We're registered locally, but our heart remains in community-based tourism.
2Where does the money go?
85% of what you pay goes directly to local families — guides, farmers, homestays. The rest is reinvested in equipment and community development.
3Can I meet Gulshan kumar in person?
Absolutely! Gulshan kumar personally hosts most treks and ensures he spends time with every group. If he's coding, he'll join you for dinner at least!
4Is it safe for solo travelers?
Very safe. We host many solo travelers, especially women. Our community looks out for everyone, and you'll never feel alone.
5Do you speak English?
Yes! Gulshan kumar is fluent, and all guides have basic English. We're used to hosting international travelers.
